Informative Tool

Informative tool means application which provide vast repositories of information to learners. In simpler form its anything that gives new knowledges and information to the learners. some of the examples of informative tools are chats, books, webchats, medias, article and apps. 

It is used in classroom to enhance learning, promote better understanding, make learner explore for information that promotes critical thinking among the learners and to make learners able to enhance analyzing information skills. 

It can be integrated in classroom in various ways such as following:

1. asking students to create their own knowledge
2. providing activities to students that promotes analyzing information skills.
3. Teachers proving different types of contents for the students.

some of the forms of informative tools are as followings:

1. Texts;  It helps to communicate ideas and thoughts, boost vocabularies and enhance writing skills. there are three types of text, personal( Expressive) such as letters and diaries                                                          Imaginative(Narrative) such as stories                                                                                                Informative(Expository) such as reports
2.   Images;  It is visual representation of texts such as logos, photographs and pictures. It promotes creativity and imagination among learners
3. Audio; It is sound in a range the human ear is capable of hearing. It builds comprehension skills, promote correct pronunciation and improve listening skills 
4. Video; It is recording, manipulating and displaying moving images. some of the benefits of it is creating stimulates to learners interest in learning. long retention in memory and promotes independence learning.
5. Animation; It is illusion of movements to drawing, models or inanimate objects. It helps understand the concept better and promote engagement among learners.
6. Graphics; It is combination of text, image, animation, videos. It look aesthetics and supplement text information.  

 I have create one digital resource materials for class four on the concept of filtration using the ppt. I have used various forms of informative tools in it such as the text, images, audio and video. The main purpose of this tool is to teach students about the concept of filtration using the informative tools rather than everyday lecture method. It will help students to understand the concept through the use of technology. I have uploaded the ppt using hyperlink method from the google drive.
