SAMR model
It is a planning to design a better learning activity for students that enhance their learning and participation. S stand for substitution, A for augmentation, M for modification and R for redefinition.
Substitution and augmentation are the enhancement steps were as modification and redefinition is transformation steps that are for high level. SAMR is an outstanding educational experience for students. It enhances the use of technology in the classroom thus making learning fun for the learners.Lesson Plan using SAMR.

Topic: Picnic.
Previous Knowledge: Using full stop and capital letters.
Writing sentences using new words.
Lesson Objectives:
By the end of the lesson, the student should be able to:
explain at least 2 activities that are carried out during picnic using appropriate words after the activities carried out in
the class. (Cognitive domain)
draw their favorite activity that they did during picnic after the exercises in the class. (psychomotor domain)
suggest some of the reasons that motivates people to go for picnic after the discussion in the class. (Affective domain)
Lesson Introduction (5min)
I will greet the class and ask the pupils a few questions about their feelings such as
I will ask the students whether they have been to a picnic or not so that I will know their opinion about the topic I am going.
- Information input/Lesson presentation. (13min)
Firstly, I will explain to students about what a picnic is using the ppt presentation and share with them my experiences regarding picnic.
Further describing activities that are carried out during the picnic by showing the pictures on screen using projector of people cooking, playing games, dancing and asking students to add further on it based on their
knowledge.
Explain various reasons people go for picnics such as for family outings, celebrations like
New Year and to mark the ending of certain events.
· Asking them if they have any doubts regarding the topic before giving them activity.
- Learning Activity/Monitoring. (15min)
Activity: Drawing and describing their favorite activity during the picnic using auto draw on the computer.
· I will instruct the students to imagine a situation in which they are going to picnic near the riverbank
with their family and think about their favorite activity to do during the picnic.
· Now letting students draw about it in auto drawing software and writing a sentence to describe it.
Closure. (12 min)
Query the pupils about any additional inquiries and doubts regarding the topic
picnic.
I will ask the students to share their opinions about whether they enjoyed the
class or not.
I will let the students play a game from science kids and solve the crossword puzzle that contains the words related to picnic in the class.

Before dismissing the class for the day, I will ask two students to talk about a picnic randomly.
